MELİKGAZİ MUNICIPALITY ORGANIZES GLUTEN-FREE EVENT

Melikgazi Municipality organized an event in a gluten-free kitchen, along with celiac patients and their relatives.
An event was held at the Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Social Facilities, where gluten-free food was prepared alongside celiac patients and their relatives to raise awareness about the disease.
Melikgazi Municipality continues to support citizens with celiac disease, which requires special dietary needs due to sensitivity to gluten found in grains such as wheat, barley, and rye, by providing food packages and raising awareness through educational programs.
Melikgazi Municipality Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, who supports patients battling the disease throughout the year with gluten-free food packages tailored to their needs, closely monitors services and initiatives to raise awareness within the community. Through the training provided as part of MELMEK courses, patients fighting against celiac disease, which impairs their quality of life, can produce various foods such as cookies, cakes, and bread using gluten-free ingredients supplied by Melikgazi Municipality.
With a social municipality understanding, Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated, 'The well-being and peace of our citizens are of utmost importance to us. It is crucial for citizens with celiac disease to consume gluten-free products. As Melikgazi Municipality, we provide support to citizens with celiac disease by offering gluten-free food assistance. In our MELMEK courses, we provide training to individuals with celiac allergy and their relatives on how to prepare food with gluten-free ingredients. We stand by citizens fighting against celiac disease at all times. Our support will continue. May Allah grant us all health and well-being.'
Attending the event organized within this scope and emphasizing the importance of raising awareness about the disease, Melikgazi District National Education Director Hacı Kaya thanked Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu for his support to celiac patients and the educational efforts he provides for public awareness.
The event concluded with Melikgazi Municipality presenting bags and stationery materials prepared for the children attending the education as gifts.
