Mayor of Melikgazi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, attended the March Meeting of Kayseri Chamber of Industry and briefed industrialists on the vision projects he plans to implement for Melikgazi between 2024-2029.

In the program, Mayor Palancıoğlu presented the projects he plans to implement in the next 5 years and the works that will add value to Melikgazi accompanied by visuals to the members of the Council and industrialists.

Mayor Palancıoğlu, emphasizing the need for new initiatives to open up the way for industry and commerce, stated, "We would be delighted the more our industrialists produce, create employment, and add value. In this regard, we will undertake necessary efforts in the Free Zone. We embarked on this new path with a focus on human interaction and have prepared many projects. We prioritize the family first. When the family structure is disrupted, our youth, employment, and development also suffer. Therefore, we have prioritized many themes such as people first, family first, city first, and employment first in all our endeavours. We are carrying out urban transformation in many areas like Battalgazi, Anbar, Kazım Karabekir, and Yıldırım Beyazıt to build healthy and safe housing. Through urban transformation, we are working to make our city's buildings more resilient to earthquakes. I hope that in the future, 10-story buildings will be constructed in Melikgazi. We are transitioning to horizontal architecture in Melikgazi. In addition, we will increase our urban renewal efforts even further during this period. We are revitalizing our historical heritage sites such as Gön Han and Vezir Han. Alongside, we will renew Urgancılar Market. By revitalizing these areas, we will further beautify the city centre.

Mayor Palancıoğlu stated that works will be carried out in many places in the district with Nature-Themed Parks, social facilities, and Recreational Areas. "We will make Kırlangıç Valley just like Koramaz Valley. There will be walking paths. In Küçük Kızıltepe, there will be a beautiful social facility and a restaurant where we will offer Kayseri cuisine. We will build observation terraces in several areas. We will provide our citizens with beautiful areas where they can enjoy their time in Kayseri. We will establish an indoor sports centre open to sports clubs. These places will be where young people can expend their energy. We have built a 7,000 square meter park in the former location of Dedeman School. Exhibitions, workshops, and courses will be held at the restored Nazmi Toker Fine Arts Workshop. Our project, the Pastrami-Sausage Workshop and Museum, which aims to preserve and promote traditional flavours, will certify the culture of pastrami, sausage filling, and cumin. Everyone will be able to see how pastrami and sausage are made in practice. It's a project that will add colour to Kayseri. Kayseri is one of the most suitable cities for health tourism in Turkey. With our Health Tourism Campus, there will be polyclinics in 12 different fields such as dental, ophthalmic, hair transplantation, aesthetic, general surgery, and dietetics. We will introduce health tourism to Kayseri. With our Atölye Melikgazi project, we will support women who want to contribute to their household budget. We will provide the materials for the products, and they will be paid for each product they make. With our Bayat-Bat Flea Market project, we will turn our existing flea market in the Eskişehir Vineyards area into a more qualified market. Thus, we will improve the region. With our Wedding Bazaar, we are bringing a place to Kayseri where all the shopping needs for weddings and engagements are met. By establishing a Street Animals Village, sterilization, rehabilitation, care, and ear tagging procedures will be carried out for our animal friends on the streets. There is a need for open-air social facilities. Our Ortaköy Street project, which will bring Istanbul to our doorstep, will be a place for families to visit. You will be able to enjoy things like baked potato, waffle, and halva and spend enjoyable time there. Especially young people will love this project. As a municipality, we have provided many services so far. Hopefully, with your support and prayers, we will achieve even better things now.
