Melikgazi Municipality, which significantly eased traffic and provided comfortable and safe transportation opportunities with its road construction works throughout the district, has started a feverish work for the 25-meter-wide road project extending from Komando Street to Hisarcık, Kıranardı, and Özhaseki Boulevard.
“We are making a Comfortable Signature for Melikgazi!”
Making a statement about the work that will provide great convenience to citizens in transportation, Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated the following: “As Melikgazi Municipality, we are working in many areas. Especially regarding transportation, this year we started working on a nice, surprising route. As you know, there is a paragliding runway at the continuation of Komando Street. It is the border between Talas and Melikgazi, right next to Ali Mountain. We have started to open the 25-meter wide, unpaved road that is in the plan but not yet opened, from Komando Street to Hisarcık, Kıranardı and Özhaseki Boulevard. Currently, our colleagues have started to fill the road with all the construction machinery. We have completed 95% of the legal procedures. There is a minor property issue, we are solving them. Hopefully, when this road is opened, especially from Hisarcık, "A new axis will be implemented that will ease traffic and can be used by all our citizens coming from Kıranardı and going towards Erciyes."
“We are the Municipality that Issues the Most Construction Permits in Turkey.”
Stating that they are carrying out works to meet the increased road and infrastructure needs of citizens who have turned to horizontal architecture after the earthquake, Mayor Palancıoğlu said, “This is a bit costly and troublesome; but especially after the earthquake, with the increase in demand for low-rise houses with gardens, we are issuing a lot of construction permits. We issue around 4500 construction permits annually. We are the municipality that issues the most construction permits in Turkey. Therefore, each of the horizontal architecture constructions in this area requires road, natural gas, water, electricity, and infrastructure activities when they are nearing completion. In this context, we are implementing this road, and it will be roughly finished this year. We will work intensively here this summer. May our new axis be auspicious. We will see you again when it is nearing completion. We will inform you, and we will all do the opening together, may it be auspicious and successful,” he said.
