Mayor of Melikgazi Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu participated in the "Introduction and Information Meeting" of the National Delegation of the Council of Europe Local and Regional Authorities Congress held online. Providing information about the meeting, Mayor of Melikgazi Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, “For seven years, I have been working in the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe and the national delegation of Turkey.18 mayors and councillors in Turkey are represented in the European Council according to their party distribution. We fulfil our duty as one of the mayors representing Turkey in the Council of Europe, which has 200 members from 47 countries in total. Again this year, I was elected as a principal candidate for the Council of Europe's Local and Regional Congress as the Mayor. Hopefully, we will continue this duty for the next 4 years. We will defend Turkey's issues in the Council of Europe, we will transfer ourselves. Here, we know that it is extremely important that all political parties cooperate with the national delegation and work for Turkey's interests. Today, under the chairmanship of our Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tahir Büyükakın, we meet with the new members, the Union of Municipalities of Turkey and the members of the Ministry of Interior, and evaluate the work we will do. Especially with the end of the pandemic, we will continue to attend the meetings in Strasbourg, one of the most important cities of France in Europe.

           We attend these meetings at least twice a year. We try to represent Turkey by participating in meetings in Brussels and other countries.I hope that the new works we will do will be beneficial and bring benefits to our country. " said.
