Head of Melikgazi Municipality Physical Disabilities Sports Club Faruk Sahin and his administration visited Mayor of Melikgazi Mustafa Palancıoğlu on the occasion of World Disabled People's Day on December 3.

            Congratulating the World Day of Disabled People and Awareness on December 3, The Mayor Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, “On this occasion, we pray to Almighty Allah that all our disabled brothers and sisters continue their lives in a healthy way. With the development of technology and the increase in awareness, it has increased more and more. December 3rd was declared by the United Nations as December 3rd Disability awareness day in 1992.  The needs related to our disabled brothers and sisters, especially in cities, have been gradually eliminated. Legislative changes have been made to facilitate the entry and exit of disabled people in private and public buildings. In the licenses we issue, there are various regulation conditions to ensure convenient transportation of people with disabilities, and attention is paid to them. At the same time, the infrastructure of cities should be prepared according to people with disabilities. New studies are being offered to our disabled brothers and sisters every day. I would like to congratulate all our friends who serve within the scope of Melikgazi Municipality and are engaged in sports activities. Especially this year, our brothers with disabilities became world champions in football. Many areas have really bleached our faces, especially when it comes to swimming and other areas.
