Mayor of Melikgazi Dr.Mustafa Palancioglu said that they have made transportation safe by making speed breakers on the main streets where there is a busy pedestrian crossing within the boundaries of Melikgazi district.

         Mayor Palancıoğlu stated that 5 elevated pedestrian crossings and 1 speed breaker were made on Malazgirt Boulevard by the Decision of the UKOME Board and said, “As Melikgazi Municipality, we are working to ensure smooth transportation in the city. Just as we are opening new roads, we are opening alternative roads in the city and making them safe. We are also installing speed-breaking barriers in many places. This is mostly due to the desire of the neighbourhood people. Again, many intersections are illuminated because they are very busy and in use, while in some intersection areas we make lightless elevated intersection arrangements. There are many examples of this in our Melikgazi district. This study is carried out by the decision of the Kayseri Transportation and Coordination Board.” Quoth

        Mayor Dr. Palancioglu added that they also attach importance to visual beauty when making speed breakers with a relief stone for pedestrian crossings.
