Training on posture disorders and office exercises common in working life was provided in Melikgazi.

Melikgazi Municipality organized a training titled "Common Postural Deformities in Working Life and Office Exercises" for administrative staff as part of its in-service training programs.

The training, given by Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Specialist Dr. Hülya Yüksel, covered office ergonomics and biomechanics, as well as common postural deformities among office workers and exercise approaches to address these problems.

Dr. Hülya Yüksel said:

“Poor posture is increasingly common among those who work long hours at a computer. Excessive time spent at a desk can lead to problems such as neck straightening, spinal curvatures, and back and waist pain. Incorrect sitting positions and inactivity put significant strain on the musculoskeletal system. Simple exercises that employees can perform during short breaks throughout the day are crucial for both preventing poor posture and increasing work efficiency. When working at a desk, we should sit upright in a chair with arm support. Our feet should touch the floor. Shoulders should be back, back and waist should be supported from behind, and feet should be flat on the floor. In the workplace, it is necessary to maximize the adaptation of the work to the employee and the employee to the work. Small measures can prevent major problems. Correct posture and regular Exercise is the key to a healthy working life. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Melikgazi Mayor Assoc.
