4.480 Family Boiled Tomato Paste

Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu visited citizens making tomato paste in Evliyalar Park in Mimarsinan Neighborhood as part of Melikgazi Municipality's Tomato Paste Days and said that they broke a record this year with the participation of 4,480 families in the event.

3 Shifts, 24 Hours of Service Provided for 1.5 Months…

Mayor Palancıoğlu, wishing good luck to the citizens who were boiling their tomato paste together with his wife Emel Palancıoğlu, and thanking his colleagues who put in great effort, said, “Tomato Paste Days It is a routine practice that we have been doing for 8 years. We participated in the Tomato Paste Days held in Evliyalar Park in Mimar Sinan Neighborhood, and wished good luck to our citizens. We organized Tomato Paste Days in 3 different regions at different times, including Mimar Sinan Evliyalar Park, Kocatepe and Selçuklu Neighborhoods. Here We are working with our colleagues, we work in 3 shifts. 24 hours a day for 1.5 months. With approximately 100 personnel, our managers and supervisors, we are here to serve our citizens. May God bless them all. We also sell tomatoes and peppers here. We also sell firewood for those who don't bring their own. We give copper tomato paste pots and salt to our citizens free of charge. Washing and grinding operations are also done free of charge in the area. We broke a record this year. 4,480 families benefited from the Tomato Paste Days. Many people from Kayseri came to our Tomato Paste Days, and even people from outside Kayseri came here as guests. I thank all my colleagues. They worked very hard, but they also received many blessings. As a municipality, we provide many services, but one of the things we receive the most satisfaction from and that our citizens thank us for is the Tomato Paste Days. Working 24 hours a day for 1.5 months is truly a difficult and arduous job. But we continue to improve every year. "We started with 100 people, now it's grown to approximately 4,500. Hopefully, this number will increase even more next year. We will continue to improve our services. Therefore, there is a great service in this work. Unity and solidarity are further strengthened in these kinds of events. Thank God, we are closing this year without any problems. May God grant our citizens who are making their tomato paste and various winter preparations the pleasure of eating it with good taste," he said. President Palancıoğlu, stating that not only tomato paste is boiled at the Tomato Paste Days, reminded that this event is a place where social relations develop and strengthen, the importance of unity and solidarity is further understood, and beautiful stories are experienced.
