In his New Year message, Melikgazi Municipality Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated that the year 2023 was a year filled with services and expressed his wish for the year 2024 to be a year where pain, oppression, and wars come to an end, and peace, tranquillity, and prosperity prevail.

Melikgazi Municipality Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, stating that services have increased every year in Melikgazi and many needs of the district have been addressed, said, 'In this journey we started with the motto 'Value to Melikgazi,' we have continued to work with the same enthusiasm as the first day for the future of our district and our citizens. The year 2023 was a year in which we invested intensive efforts to add value to Melikgazi, developing our district in every field with visionary projects. We left behind a year full of unforgettable services in Melikgazi in 2023. As Melikgazi Municipality, we have completed another year filled with services. We have brought many services to our district in various fields. All our neighbourhoods have benefited from our services. We have implemented projects addressing the needs of our district and citizens. In all our projects and investments, we acted with the future of our district in mind. While trying to provide services to every corner of our district, we also made every effort to take Melikgazi to a better future. We became the municipality that built the most schools in Turkey with 21 schools. We have brought many qualified schools to our district, including the Aviation and Space Sciences High School that will provide qualified personnel to the sector, which will be unique in Kayseri. Since 2019, we have built 15 family health centres, 18 places of worship, 9 Quran courses, 15 akıl küpü libraries, and 15 social facilities. We have restored 16 historical artifacts, including important structures such as Gön Han and Köşk Medrese, and built 18 football fields and 4 marketplaces. To provide more efficient and effective services, we added 130 new machines to our vehicle fleet. Additionally, while bringing 270 new parks to the district, we created 3 million square meters of green space. We also emphasized urban transformation efforts. We have completed and have ongoing blocks. The construction processes of 66 blocks and 2517 apartments are continuing at full speed. Our Çarşı Melikgazi project has been a project that adds value and a different colour to Kayseri. The year 2022 was our groundbreaking year, and 2023 became our year of openings. In 2023, we presented many investments to our people. It was a year filled with projects addressing the needs of our citizens, as well as exemplary and reference works for the centenary of the establishment of our Republic. I thank all my colleagues who serve Melikgazi for their efforts and dedication. We will continue to build services that will carry our district to the future with love. As we leave behind the year 2023, where we celebrated the 100th anniversary of our Republic with enthusiasm and pride, I wish that the year 2024, which we welcomed with great hopes, brought health, happiness, abundance, and brotherhood to our entire country, Kayseri, and Melikgazi.
