Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu inspected the ongoing construction of the multi-functional social facility in Selçuklu Neighborhood, which is nearing completion. The facility, which will host outdoor weddings, funerals, and many cultural events, will meet a great need of the region, said Mayor Palancıoğlu, “As Melikgazi Municipality, we have 58 neighborhoods. Many of our investments are progressing rapidly in almost every neighborhood. We are the municipality that builds the most schools, the most health centers, the most mosques and Quran courses, and the most libraries in Türkiye. We are bringing many different services to our district. Now we are implementing a very elegant project in Selçuklu Neighborhood. We are building a social facility here that will be used both for outdoor weddings and for funerals during the winter months. This is a very large area. This "Our facility will also serve the Ottoman Quarter and the Danişmentgazi Quarter. The number of weddings increases especially in the summer months. In the winter months, houses are not sufficient for condolences. There was a need for such a facility. Therefore, this facility will meet a great need. Hopefully, we will open it soon and the people of the region will use it extensively. May it be auspicious and blessed," he said.
