Melikgazi Municipality, which is improving and maintaining parks in Melikgazi to provide citizens with a more comfortable, convenient, and safe way to spend their time, has completed renovations on the second section of Alpaslan Park.

Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, "We are constantly greening areas such as median strips, squares, and parks in many of our neighborhoods. We recently renovated Beyazşehir Park in the Bahçelievler neighborhood, and it turned out beautifully. We also renovated İsa Yusuf Alptekin Park, a popular park in Belsin, with its walking path, playgrounds, gazebos, and landscaping. Now, we have renovated the second section of our walking path in Alparslan Park. As the weather warms, we will renovate the other section. Therefore, we have planted and illuminated the second section for 2025. We have also maintained the walking path and made it available to our citizens. We are making these improvements in many areas in Melikgazi, the city center. We are also receiving great satisfaction from our citizens. In Melikgazi, we have planted thousands of trees under our slogan, 'We plant trees, not saplings.' Our district has become even greener, and the number of green spaces has increased." We planted plane trees, oak trees, linden trees, ornamental plum trees, and ornamental pear trees in each area. Within two to three years, they beautify and green the area as if the 20-year-old trees were there. Here, we also planted the pine trees in the ground and illuminated them. It became more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Kudos to my colleagues for their hard work. Congratulations," he said.
