The Mayor of Melikgazi is Dr. Mustafa Palancioglu published a message on the Adoption of the National Anthem of March 12 and the Day of Remembrance of Mehmet Akif Ersoy.

           

         Palancioglu said in his message: 

        "The National Anthem adopted in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey 101 years ago today, on March 12, 1921, is the name of the great sacrifice and heroism that our heroic nation, which has written countless epics throughout history, has shown for the independence and freedom of our homeland is the common voice of the Turkish nation. 101 of the adoption by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey of our National Anthem, which symbolizes the belief in the independence and sacred values of the Holy Turkish Nation. We are proud to realize the anniversary. Our national poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy has brought the Turkish nation to the top with his unique work by bringing them together around the love of homeland and flag, unity, togetherness, common thoughts and values.  On the Day of the Adoption of the National Anthem and the Commemoration of Mehmet Akif Ersoy, I commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of our Republic, Mehmet Akif Ersoy, the Poet of our National Anthem, and all the heroes of the War of Independence with mercy and prayer."
