The Mayor of Melikgazi is Dr. Mustafa Palancioglu congratulated the athletes on the achievements of the Wushu team of the Melikgazi Municipal sports club at the European Championship and the Kick Boxing team at the World Cup Competitions.

        Celebrating the athletes, Palancioglu said, "3 athletes from Melikgazi Municipal sports club were selected to the national team at the Wushu European Championships held in Bulgaria. Fuat Kılıçaslan was the European runner-up in the competition, Nurten Kurt was the European third, and Kumsal Kayra Kutlu was the European runner-up. I sincerely congratulate our athletes and teachers who have achieved this pride by participating in the competitions and representing our country very successfully. They gave us a well-deserved pride. Our country has a great potential in terms of a young population. I believe that these achievements will increase, especially with the right sports investments and sports schools in sports. As a municipality, that always values sports and athletes, our support for sports will continue. In addition, our club has achieved more success in one branch again. The seventh edition was held in Istanbul. Three of our athletes received degrees at the International Kick Boxing World Cup Competitions. 3100 athletes from 52 countries participated in the competition as Melikgazi Belediyespor Club with five athletes.
