The new address for Melikgazi Municipality's cultural and artistic activities is Sanat Melikgazi, FSMVÜ Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Director of the Institute of Islamic Science History, Dr. Öğr. The association hosted a conference titled “The Journey of Knowledge: From Words to the Digital Age,” with member Nihal Fırat Özdemir as a speaker, and a workshop on “The History of Scent.” Following the conference, which focused on the journey of knowledge, the most fundamental legacy of history, from words to the digital age, the “History of Scent Workshop” was held, led by Sefa Nur Kuruçay and Esma Biçer, which examined the historical, cultural, and social meaning of scent in the process extending from ancient times to the Seljuk and Ottoman civilizations.

The conference, which evaluated the historical journey of knowledge from oral culture to written tradition, from the transformative effect of printing to today's digital information environments, concluded with the experience of the olfactory memory of history.

Stating that Melikgazi's art development courses are practically a master's degree center, Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated the following: “We are holding the first program of Art Melikgazi. Our Art Melikgazi building was actually Nazmi Toker Primary School. Since it is a stone building, we preserved its texture and turned it into an art center. This is a center where we will conduct various workshop activities, offer different courses, and hold events. It's a bit more of an academy. We will have courses aimed at those who want to specialize in their talents rather than those starting from scratch. In other words, it will be the master's level of the field, not the undergraduate level. We have made Art Melikgazi a beautiful place where very refined events will be held. This will be a point where the pulse of art beats in Kayseri.”
