Melikgazi Municipality, which brings together the elegance of calligraphy with art lovers and aims to pass on cultural heritage to future generations, organized the “Writing Civilization Islamic Arts” exhibition at Sanat Melikgazi.
Saying that Sanat Melikgazi hosts calligraphy, one of the traditional Turkish-Islamic arts, Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, “Today, in our Melikgazi Art Center, we have started exhibiting the calligraphy works prepared with great effort by our esteemed Associate Professor Dr. Ebubekir İnan, a faculty member of Kayseri University. We have prepared a high-quality and beautiful environment in our Melikgazi Art Center, which we have not yet officially opened. We use the corridors of Melikgazi Art Center for various exhibitions. We have classrooms and workshops. In our workshops here, we provide training in different fields, from oil painting to charcoal drawing, from ceramics to tiles, and to home textiles. The city center is our guest room. Therefore, we attach great importance to this place. The new park we built in front of this facility is approximately 7000 square meters. It has become a beautiful park that gives the city center a breath of fresh air. Therefore, we are striving to increase the number of such venues in Melikgazi. Social and cultural activities that appeal to the human soul are extremely important. Thinking that such events and cultural riches should be preserved, I would like to state that our support for art will always continue. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this beautiful exhibition.” "I thank those who passed by. We welcome all art lovers to our exhibition, which will be open for 1 week in Melikgazi. We also invite all our fellow citizens to our talk by calligrapher Mr. Mahmut Şahin, which will take place on Friday, May 15th at 13:30."
Melikgazi District Governor Sedat Sırrı Arısoy said, "The quality of art in Melikgazi and the activities carried out here create a beautiful unity. In this sense, I thank Mayor Palancıoğlu very much for his work. I also wish Professor İnan's exhibition success. It has been an important gain for Kayseri." He stated.
Associate Professor Dr. Ebubekir İnan, a faculty member at Kayseri University,
after providing information about the works in the exhibition, the participants toured and examined the exhibition, which received great acclaim.
