Melikgazi Municipality supported the works by sending construction equipment to Kastamonu to support the flood damage that occurred after a heavy downpour in Kastamonu, Bartın and Sinop a few days ago.

       Stating that the teams affiliated to the Melikgazi Municipality Directorate of Parks and Gardens support the work in the disaster area with construction equipment, Mayor of Melikgazi Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, "Unfortunately, after heavy rain in Kastamonu, Bartın and Sinop, it was exposed to flood damage. Many of our citizens lost their lives. It caused a lot of material damage in the province.

AFAD Presidency Disaster and Emergency Management Centre has been working since the first day in order to carry out uninterrupted work in disaster-affected regions. As Melikgazi Municipality, we contribute as much as we can. We will continue to offer. We bandage our wounds together.Due to the flood disaster, our teams affiliated to the Melikgazi Municipality Parks and Gardens Directorate participated in the work carried out in Kastamonu with construction equipment.

We overcame all difficulties by shoulder to shoulder. I hope we will overcome this challenge together," he said.

      Saying that the Melikgazi Municipality team, which was fighting in the fire zone to protect our green homeland, returned to Kayseri last night, President Dr. Palancıoğlu said, "Our aid, consisting of 4x4 vehicles, mobile WC/ shower and water dispenser, fought effectively in the Muğla fire area.Thank Allah they reached our Melikgazi safely last night. I thank them for their devoted work. May Allah protect and watch over our nation from all kinds of disasters," he said.
