Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, within the scope of the “Citizens Ask, Mayor Answers” ​​program, met with the residents of Köşk and Gültepe Neighborhoods with the participation of Kayseri AK Party Provincial Chairman Hüseyin Okandan, Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç and AK Party Melikgazi District Chairman Tayyar Şahin, and answered their requests and questions.

In the meeting where the neighborhood residents directly expressed their needs, wishes and suggestions, Mayor Palancıoğlu said that they listened to the demands with the technical teams and evaluated the solutions together, saying, “With the mosque, health center and Quran course we built in Gültepe Neighborhood, we have provided a beautiful complex. These services are currently being used intensively by our citizens. We restored the historical Köşk Medrese here. We are turning the approximately 20,000 square meter area in front of it into an event area. The old dormitories of the National Education were demolished. In their place, a beautiful 2-story project will be built for the adult education institute and public education. We have also done many projects in Köşk Neighborhood. We built schools. We provided the Akıl Küpü Library. We will build Ortaköy Street. We will lay the foundation this summer. We will start and complete it in a very short time. Mustafa Şimşek We are renovating our streets and parks. For the last 2 years, with our Mobile Mayor application, we have been meeting with our citizens in the neighborhoods. We listen to the demands of our citizens and answer their questions. We will continue to produce and work together in our district.” He said.

AK Party Melikgazi District Chairman Tayyar Şahin also stated that they met with citizens one-on-one through the ‘Citizens Ask, Mayor Answers’ program, answered every question, and provided citizens with detailed information about the ongoing works and projects implemented in the district.

Kayseri AK Party Provincial Chairman Hüseyin Okandan said, “In our ‘Citizens Ask, Mayor Answers’ program, we meet with our citizens in our neighborhoods together with our department heads, deputy mayors, and managers from the municipalities, and answer their questions. We answer every question asked. Giving [the government] requires political trust. We receive this trust from our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and from the services provided by our esteemed mayors. But most importantly, we receive this trust from the closeness of our citizens to us and the support they give us,” he said.

“Today, the citizens of Melikgazi will ask questions, and we will answer them,” said Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, adding that they will continue to be close to the citizens and manage Kayseri with common sense.
