Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Mustafa Palancıoğlu issued a commemorative message on the 87th anniversary of the death of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

President Palancıoğlu included the following statements in his message:

“We, as a nation, commemorate Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic and the leader of our War of Independence, with respect and mercy on the 87th anniversary of his passing. The Republic of Turkey; with its culture, industry, economy, education, With its youth and cities, it is taking firm steps towards its goal of rising above the level of contemporary civilizations. This progress is a source of pride for the Turkish nation, but it is also a source of fear and anxiety for those who oppose our nation's unity and solidarity. The Republic of Turkey, Atatürk's greatest work, is the most precious legacy he left us. Today, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk continues to illuminate the path of the Turkish Nation with his foresight and ideas. As local governments, we are working with all our might to raise our country to the highest ranks in many areas in the Turkish century with our new vision projects, worthy of our glorious ancestors. With these feelings and thoughts, I commemorate Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who derived his strength from his faith and trust in the Turkish nation in his lifelong struggle for independence and civilization, and all his comrades-in-arms, our cherished martyrs, and our veterans with mercy and respect.
