Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Mustafa Palancıoğlu issued a congratulatory message on the 103rd anniversary of August 30th Victory Day.

President Palancıoğlu included the following statements in his message:

"We celebrate with great pride and enthusiasm the 103rd anniversary of the August 30th Victory, one of the most important turning points in our nation's struggle for independence, which laid the foundations of our Republic. Today, we commemorate the 103rd anniversary of the great victory that has written its name in golden letters in the glorious history of the Turkish nation." We are experiencing the excitement and pride of its 103rd anniversary. Under the leadership of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, our homeland was liberated with the Battle of the Commander-in-Chief, and the Turkish nation gained the honor of living in freedom and independence. Our nation's preservation of its independence, even under the most difficult conditions, from the Battle of Manzikert to the Gallipoli and Independence Wars, is a guarantee of our unity, our future, and our strength. As always, our Turkish nation derives its strength and survival from unity, solidarity, and brotherhood. As long as this remains true, evil designs targeting our country can never achieve their goals. This unparalleled victory is the strongest demonstration of what the Turkish nation can achieve through unity and solidarity. Our August 30th Victory is a heroic epic, rarely seen in history, of the struggle for independence. I commend Commander-in-Chief Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades-in-arms, and I commemorate all our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our homeland with mercy and our veterans with gratitude.
