Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu published a message on the occasion of September 19th Veterans Day.

Stating that veterans who sacrificed their lives for the integrity of the homeland and the protection of national values ​​are the embodiment of patriotism, Mayor Palancıoğlu said, “Our esteemed veterans are our heroes who have risked martyrdom for the homeland and the flag, and who have always held an exceptional place for the survival of our unity and solidarity. Our veterans, the embodiment of patriotism, have unhesitatingly laid down their lives as a shield for our independent and free life, for the waving of our flag. If we live freely in these lands today, it is thanks to our heroes who sacrificed themselves for the homeland. On this occasion, I commemorate with mercy all our martyrs and veterans who have passed away, especially Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms, and I wish our living veterans a long and healthy life.
