Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, released a congratulatory message on the occasion of Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.

"Strong Youth, Strong Future"

Stating that this meaningful day when Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk landed in Samsun and started the war of independence is the strongest symbol of trust in the youth, President Palancıoğlu included the following statements in his message:

"May 19, 1919, is the date of Atatürk's landing in Samsun and the start of the War of Independence. Today is celebrated as Atatürk Commemoration, Youth and Sports Day. I also congratulate all the youth and our entire country on this holiday. As municipalities, we are trying to provide all kinds of services to prepare the youth for life and the future. As Melikgazi, we are the municipality that has built the most schools in Türkiye. We have nearly 25 schools. We are implementing a very qualified high school in Melikgazi in Kayseri, where we will establish the Aviation and Space Sciences High School and later the middle school. We have also built 15 libraries for our youth. Our youth are preparing for the high school and university exams here. Our libraries have over 50 thousand members. We have established technology workshops for our youth in our district and supported TEKNOFEST. We organize all kinds of festivals, concerts and similar events for our youth. The youth are important to us. The stronger and better our youth are prepared for the future, the brighter and stronger the future of this country will be. With these feelings and thoughts, I respectfully and mercifully remember all the heroes of our struggle for independence, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk; and I congratulate all our youth and citizens on the 19th of May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day."
