Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, together with Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, conducted important field inspections regarding the needs and new investments of Gesi Neighborhood.

During the visits to the Gesi vineyards and Gesi Neighborhood, famous for their folk songs; the identification of needs, the analysis of ongoing and planned works, as well as the good news given, gave hope.

Mayor Palancıoğlu stated the following: “We conducted a field trip to address the needs of our Gesi neighborhood. We are undertaking important work to bring Gesi back to its former glory. There was a problem with irrigation water here; we are working hand in hand with our esteemed Governor to solve this problem. As Melikgazi Municipality, together with our Regional Director of State Water Works, we will work to meet the water needs of the region by bringing water here and drilling new wells. In addition, we are undertaking important work to meet the needs here. We will address certain needs in our mosque and square. Currently, we are engaged in a feverish work that has been going on for months in the picnic area. This picnic area has been used with great pleasure for a long time, but it was insufficient. We are currently implementing a very large project that will become the apple of Kayseri's eye. It will be completed in a few months, and I believe it will be the most popular picnic area in Kayseri in 2027.” One of the most popular areas used will be ready.”

Giving good news about the conservation-oriented development plan for Gesi, in addition to the restoration works, the work on solving the irrigation water problem, and the picnic area works, Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek made the following statements:

“A conservation-oriented development plan for Gesi needs to be made. With the close monitoring of our Provincial Culture Director, the necessary funds have arrived. I am also giving this good news that 22 The tender will be held as of September, and Gesi's conservation-oriented zoning plan will be presented to us.
