The harvest time has started in chickpea and safflower production, where Melikgazi Municipality provides seed support to farmers.

             Melikgazi Agriculture and Forestry Manager Okay Sağnak, Ağırnas Neighbourhood Headman Muharrem Uzun and Küçük Bürüngüz Neighbourhood Headman Hacı Bölük visited Mayor of Melikgazi Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu and thanked them for their support to agriculture.

             Mayor of Melikgazi Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, who said that as Melikgazi Municipality, their support to local producers would continue to increase, said, “As Melikgazi Municipality, we distributed safflower seeds and chickpea seeds for the first time this year. Our farmers have made their plant, it is time to harvest now, and it was possible to turn into a product. I hope that we will start taking the first aspirin oil in September. Safflower oil is an effective oil, especially in terms of our health. This year we plant both safflower and chickpeas. In ratios such as 1 to 10, approximately 150 tons will be produced, one of which will be 200 tons. I wish our farmers abundance in their crops. I would like to thank our mukhtars, the directorate of agriculture, the directorate of rural services and our farmers." said.

            Saying that the Directorate of Rural Services has a great support for the countryside, the headmen and farmers thanked Mayor of Melikgazi Dr.Mustafa Palancıoğlu for the seed support and the services they have provided.
