A "Special Thanks and Commemoration Concert for the 75th Anniversary of the Korean War" is being organized by the Melikgazi Municipality, in collaboration with Erciyes University, the Turkish Combat Veterans Association, the Active Seniors As Always (ASAA), and the Korea-Turkey Friendship Association.

"2024 World Choir Games Winner Korea Grey Youth Choir to Perform."

The concert, which will take place on Saturday, October 25th at 7:00 PM at the Melikgazi Municipality Theater Hall, will feature the 2024 World Choir Games Winner Korea Grey Youth Choir.

Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. expressed their excitement at hosting a special concert that will further strengthen the existing friendly relations between the two countries. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, “Our Melikgazi Municipality will once again host a wonderful event. As is well known, Turkish-Korean relations have a long and deeply rooted history, with strong diplomatic and economic ties. The two countries are bound together by bonds of brotherhood. The Turkish Brigade's support of South Korea against North Korean forces during the war years has fostered a special bond in our bilateral relations. The Korean people consider the Turkish people a "brother country." In fact, among the military units participating in the war, the Turkish Brigade was the only unit to build a school for orphaned Korean children. We always keep our bonds of friendship with our Korean brothers and sisters alive. On September 27th, we were in our sister city of Yongin for a series of events. We have a deep and deep-rooted history with our Korean brothers and sisters. In this context, our Melikgazi Municipality, Erciyes University, the Turkish War Veterans Association, Active Seniors As Always (ASAA), in collaboration with the Korea-Turkey Friendship Association, is organizing a thank-you and commemoration concert at the Melikgazi Municipality Theater Hall on Saturday, October 25th at 7:00 PM. The Korea Grey Youth Choir, winners of the 2024 World Choir Games, will perform at the concert. We invite all our fellow citizens to our meaningful and special event. On this occasion, I commemorate our Korean martyrs with mercy and our veterans with gratitude.”
