Mayor Palancıoğlu, who started project work for the restoration of the historical mansion to the district, expressed that they are happy to add another one to the 16 historical artifacts they have unearthed in Melikgazi and said the following:

“While implementing our future-oriented projects and investments in Melikgazi, we continue to protect our past and keep our values ​​alive. Our district is quite lucky in terms of historical artifacts. We have restored 16 historical artifacts so far. Among them, there are works that shed light on centuries such as Gön Han and Köşk Medrese, which we will open this year. We are moving forward by looking at our past. In this context, we have started project preparations for a new work. We have started project work to restore the two-story mansion in our Bağpınar Neighborhood. Hopefully, we will bring a beautiful social facility to Koramaz Valley. The ground floor entrance is created with high-ceilinged tol arches. There is a fireplace and an original carved stone grape crushing basin inside the venue. The mansion is made of cut stone materials, using a masonry construction technique. Especially the stone grape crushing vessel on the ground floor of the structure and the must vat on the upper floor are original pieces that tell the story of the grape workshops of the period. We are taking a step that will add value to our district and revitalize tourism. Since our mansion is a registered structure, we will start the works after preparing the survey, restitution, restoration and engineering projects and receiving the approval of the board.
