Melikgazi Municipality's special service for street animals in need, the "Cute Friend Ambulance," provided assistance and health services to 4,300 street animals in 2025.

With the fully equipped ambulance, injured or sick street animals are quickly transported to the clinic and the necessary treatment methods are applied.

Reports received on Melikgazi Municipality's WhatsApp reporting lines at 0530 253 91 91 and 252 13 33 are forwarded to the Veterinary Affairs Directorate, and the Cute Friend Ambulance is activated. The service, which rushes to the aid of thousands of street animals, is attracting attention from citizens. Stating that within the borders of Melikgazi, based on the reports received, 4,300 injured and sick street animals were immediately treated in 2025, Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, “Our fully equipped Cute Friend Ambulance, which ensures that street animals who share our lives are transported to treatment quickly and safely in emergency situations, is at the service of our little friends. Our ambulance, which comes to the aid of street animals in case of possible traffic accidents, injuries or illnesses, is actively working 24/7. In line with the reports received from our citizens, our Veterinary Affairs Directorate teams intervene in a short time and help street animals.
