Mayor of Melikgazi Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said that according to TÜİK data for the year 2020, they are in the 4th place with 899 permits in issuing building permits in Turkey.

Stating that they have achieved modern urbanization with a planned, realistic and coordinated work and investments, Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu noted that according to the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute, according to the building permits issued in 2020, Melikgazi Municipality ranked 4th with 899 licenses after Bodrum, Kuşadası and Döşemealtı Municipalities.

Stating that it is very meaningful for the first three municipalities to be in summer and holiday areas, Mayor of Melikgazi Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, “The figures regarding the licenses issued between provincial and district municipalities were published in the latest studies conducted by TURKSTAT. In this context, our Melikgazi Municipality became the 4 municipalities that gave the most building permits among the municipalities that gave 1184 licenses. In total, we issued 899 licenses in 2020. Of course, apart from the new renovations, these are the new licenses we have given. Therefore, we became the 4th municipality among 1184 municipalities, by spending a lot of work even during the pandemic period. I would like to thank our Zoning Directorate and our valuable employees. Melikgazi is a big district with its planned regular structure and population more than many provinces. Therefore, the number of people who want to live here, buy a house and do business has increased in 2020, as always. Although we are currently in the first 3 months for 2021, nearly 400 license applications have been made. Therefore, in 2021, we will be among the municipalities with the highest number of licenses. Licenses are generally given to summer houses and villas in coastal areas. However, more multi-storey buildings and structures are licensed in Melikgazi. 1460 licenses were granted in Bodrum, 1132 in Kuşadası and 955 licenses in Döşemealtı Municipality. Giving 899 licenses in Melikgazi is a success and indicator of our municipality. " said.

Mayor of Melikgazi Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu added that they are working in consultation with public institutions and organizations, non-governmental organizations and neighborhood headmen in order to achieve their 2023 goals.
