Melikgazi Expands Urban Transformation Initiative in Neighborhoods

Stating that they have started working on a new urban transformation project consisting of 4 blocks in another neighborhood within the scope of the projects carried out with the aim of creating an earthquake-resistant and modern district, Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, “As Melikgazi Municipality, we are carrying out urban transformation projects in many areas. Our transformation projects, which we support with aesthetics, social facilities, infrastructure, and green areas, are improving the quality of life in our neighborhoods. We are making our district more livable with safe housing and modern living spaces. Within the scope of our new urban transformation projects, a tender was held at our municipality for 4 blocks, 104 apartments, and 8 shops in Köşk Neighborhood. In this context, we will build a modern living space in place of the old houses that have completed their physical lifespan; a modern living space with 4 blocks, suitable for modern architecture, with plenty of green space and compliant with earthquake regulations. Here, we will not only renovate the houses, but also completely change the face of the neighborhood with landscaping, parking, and social facilities. To date, we have transformed thousands of houses and handed them over to their owners. Now we are adding another new project of 4 blocks to this. May this new urban transformation project be beneficial for Melikgazi and Köşk Neighborhood.” he said.
