While adding new parks to the district on one hand, Melikgazi Municipality continues to renovate old parks on the other, and has started renovation work on the old Fatih Park in Hunat Neighborhood.
The renovated Fatih Park is planned to include a botanical garden, fountains and musical waterfalls, seating areas, swings with benches, and a thousand different kinds of flowers.
Stating that they support not only green areas but also social life with the parks they built in Melikgazi, the Mayor of Melikgazi Municipality, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, “With the warming weather, our intensive work in the field has begun. We are in the city center. I define the city center as our guest room. Just as we beautify the guest room, we continue to beautify our city center. This is Fatih Park. Behind this park, we built the 7000 square meter Dedeman Park and Sanat Melikgazi. Now, by renovating our old Fatih Park in Hunat Neighborhood, we will implement Kayseri's first unique landscape in this park. We will soon bring a beautiful park with a pool and photo opportunities to Melikgazi. Our citizens will spend more time here. We are building a very beautiful and different park in Kayseri that our young people can use extensively and where our citizens can bring their guests. We removed the old stone buildings and stone objects in the park. We are also protecting our trees. We are planting trees, not saplings, in Melikgazi. We have various types of trees in our nursery. This park is one of the works we have done.” "Then it will become one of the most beautiful places in Kayseri. We have many different projects for our Hunat Neighborhood. We will make the city center even more beautiful. I thank my team members who have put in the effort. We are truly undertaking a very beautiful project. Soon, a park that everyone will see will emerge in the city center. May it be auspicious and successful," he said.
