Melikgazi Municipality, which has carried out record-breaking work in parks, gardens, and green spaces, is renovating the Gesi Recreational Area and opening it to the public.

As part of the Revision and Revitalization Project, the Gesi Recreational Area is being transformed with the construction and renovation of activity and lively areas, peace and tranquility areas, areas for contact with nature and exploration, and water features.

GESİ RECREATIONAL AREA IS BOTH EXPANDING AND TRANSFORMING INTO A BOTANICAL GARDEN

The Gesi Recreation Area will expand and transform into a botanical garden, featuring play areas, natural materials, a sandpit and a mini climbing hill, an outdoor playground, a meditation and yoga area, quiet reading nooks, scenic viewing terraces, swing viewing spots, rest areas designed with wind chimes and the sound of water, a fragrance garden, aromatic plant islands, a botanical trail, a children's nature education area, an artificial pond, a wooden platform, a photo frame decorated with lavender and ivy, and a waterside lavender garden.

The project was inspected on-site with the neighborhood headmen (muhtars). Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, “Yes, we are currently in the Gesi Vineyards, the Gesi District, where the famous "Gesi Vineyards Song" was written.
