“Pedestrian Paths on Millet Street and Nazmi Toker Street are Being Renovated…”
Melikgazi Municipality, continuing its beautification efforts in the city center, is renovating the 2,100-meter-long, 7,500-square-meter pedestrian path on Millet Street and Nazmi Toker Street, which are heavily used by citizens, with basalt stone.
In addition to projects that beautify the city center, such as the Historical Gön Han, Kazancılar Bazaar, and Sanat Melikgazi, landscaping works are also continuing at full speed.
WORKS CONTINUE INTENSIVELY DURING NIGHT HOURS
Melikgazi Municipality teams are carrying out their work in this area, where there is a high concentration of citizens, especially during night hours.
Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr., who has implemented important projects with the value he gives to every region of his district as well as the city center, Mustafa Palancıoğlu, after inspecting the ongoing pedestrian walkway works on site, made the following statement: “The city center is our guest room, and we are implementing many projects in the city center. We restored Gön Han; we moved Dedeman Middle School to the city center and created a beautiful park and Sanat Melikgazi in that area. We removed buildings to create a square in the city center, and we continue to implement many more projects. Another project that our colleagues are working on with dedication is the renewal of the old, slippery yellow stones in the area known by our citizens as 27 Mayıs Street and Bankalar Street, namely Millet Street and Nazmi Toker Street, with basalt stones. We started this work, which we are carrying out at the strong request of our tradesmen and citizens, over the weekend. The stones will be prevented from slipping, and this area will become very beautiful. We have hopefully organized a pedestrian axis of over 2 km in total.” We are continuing many of the projects that started with Kazancılar in the city center and continued with Gön Han. We are now continuing these projects with this work. The concrete floor was cleaned to avoid harming the tradesmen in the region, and trade will continue. The point I especially want to emphasize is that we will continue our work intensively during the night hours so that our tradesmen and citizens can be comfortable. The demolitions will be done at night, and we will complete our work quickly before the weather gets cold, making both our tradesmen and our citizens comfortable. I thank my colleagues who contributed to this work, may God protect us from accidents and misfortunes. May it be auspicious and beneficial for our fellow citizens from now on.”
