Saying that a strong and dedicated team is working to ensure that the aid reaches those who truly need it, Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, "First of all, we congratulate you on Ramadan. As municipalities, especially Melikgazi Municipality, we provide services in many areas. The most important of these is that, as part of social municipalism, we help our families in need and provide them with all kinds of support. As the Social Services Directorate of our municipality, we have increased the distribution of food packages to our families in need during Ramadan. Thanks to the great efforts of our Director Ms. Esra and her team, we are helping thousands of families. There are women who have separated from their husbands, broken families, the elderly, orphaned children, and disabled people. Therefore, in order to support these brothers and sisters, we are supporting them with food packages and also with zakat, fitra, and other support. If they are truly in need, as a municipality, we not only provide food packages but also help with their household needs, from carpets to beds to sofa beds. Thanks to our council members, deputy mayor, and director colleagues, we helped 434 families today alone." "We entered their homes and provided assistance. We spent the whole day supporting them. I also thank our benefactors very much; they provide financial support quietly and without anyone knowing, and meet the necessary needs of our brothers and sisters.
