Municipality is implementing the "Melikgazi Municipality Animal Shelter
Project" to meet the care, shelter and natural life needs of homeless street animals.
The project, which includes administrative buildings, animal care and observation areas, triage area, open and closed shelter areas, feed depot, quarantine unit in a 25 thousand square meter area, has the capacity to accommodate approximately 4000 street animals.
Three important procedures will be applied in the care home:
neutering, rehabilitating and ear-tagging of stray animals.
Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. stated that they have implemented a special project to meet the care and needs of stray animals in need of love and care and to ensure the safety of citizens. Mustafa

3 IMPORTANT PROCEDURES WILL BE APPLIED IN THE CARE HOME

animals Mayor Palancıoğlu, who stated that stray animals will be subjected to three stages in the shelter, continued his words as follows:
“There are 3 important stages for stray animals here. The first of these is neutering, the second is rehabilitation and finally ear tags.
With the neutering process, we aim to prevent the disproportionate increase in the population of stray animals. With veterinary services, stray animals will be rehabilitated and adopted and ear tags will be put to indicate that they benefit from our municipality’s care service.
