MELIKGAZI MUNICIPAL POLICE TEAMS INSPECTED BUTCHERS AND SPICE SHOPS.
Melikgazi Municipality police teams conducted inspections of butchers and spice shops before the upcoming Eid al-Adha to ensure citizens have access to healthier and more reliable food products.
During the inspections carried out throughout the district, the hygiene conditions of the workplaces, the expiration dates of the products, price tags and general order were meticulously examined. The storage conditions of meat and meat products, as well as the storage conditions of spices, were checked in detail by the teams.
Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. said that routine inspections will continue to increase in order to protect public health in the district. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, "Before the upcoming Eid al-Adha, we continue to inspect businesses such as butchers and spice shops, which are frequently used by our citizens. With these inspections, we aim to both protect public health and prevent unfair competition. During the inspections, the municipal police teams checked whether general hygiene rules were followed, the cleanliness of the production equipment, and also checked the expiration dates, storage conditions, prices, and weights of the products. I would also like to thank our businesses that comply with the rules. During the inspections, our municipal police teams also gave the necessary warnings to the businesses where they found deficiencies and informed them about acting in accordance with the legislation. We will not allow illegal meat grinding on the streets and avenues during Eid al-Adha. Our inspections will continue uninterrupted for the peace, health, safety, and well-being of our citizens.”
