Continuing its works to beautify the city center, Melikgazi Municipality demolished 280 abandoned buildings and shanty houses in one year.

Melikgazi Mayor Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, "We started a study about demolishing the slums and abandoned structures in order to make our Melikgazi much more beautiful. Especially in Melikgazi, we destroyed 280 slums and abandoned buildings in a year. We make our district cleaner by cleaning excavation in our neighborhoods. We will make the city center beautiful. We are beautifying our city by demolishing such buildings, especially Hunat, Kiçikapı, Tacettin Veli, Gülük, Yıldırım Beyazıt, Battalgazi and Kazım Karabekir Neighborhood. May my Lord allow us to do good services. I thank my teammates for their hard work and devoted work. We touch every corner of Melikgazi. We try to do good work. We deal with the owners of the destroyed houses, we do demolition without upsetting anyone. City centers should be like the guest room in our home, so it should be neat and beautiful. We continue to work in this direction. Bad abandoned buildings have become places for thinners and improper work. Therefore, our citizens become victims. As a municipality, we eliminate all kinds of negativity immediately. Hence our guest room. These places must be immaculately beautiful.
