Adding another successful and exemplary urban transformation project, Melikgazi Municipality continues the demolition of old buildings that have completed their lifespan in the area where Hulusi Akar and Eşref Bitlis Boulevards intersect in Köşk Neighborhood, for the new blocks to be built.
Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr., who inspected the ongoing work on site, stated that they have started urban transformation projects that will change the face of the region.
Mustafa Palancıoğlu,
“As Melikgazi Municipality, we are carrying out urban transformation projects in many areas and adding new areas to them. This area is in Köşk Neighborhood, right next to Hulusi Akar Boulevard, and between Eşref Bitlis Boulevard, which goes to the university. We have reached an agreement with the owners of all the old buildings here. We will also create a new road here, connecting Hulusi Akar to Eşref Bitlis Boulevard. We will build 2+1 and 3+1 apartments here. We will move our citizens either here or to Battalgazi Neighborhood. Therefore, we are gradually beautifying our city and district. We have removed nearly 50 shanty houses in an area of 24,000 square meters. This is a very difficult process, including obtaining the permits. In this context, we thank our Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Mr. Murat Kurum. We are also conducting and finalizing the tender for this area very quickly. Therefore, this place will become very beautiful. The former property owners are here. There will be people living there. They will live in beautiful apartments. May it be auspicious. May God grant them the pleasure of living there in good health and happiness.
Handling these legal procedures, demolishing these buildings, holding the tender, and carrying out the necessary construction work are quite laborious tasks.
We are a municipality that has built thousands of apartments. We are the municipality that has carried out the most urban transformation in Türkiye.
This success is achieved with the team. I thank my team members very much.” he said.
