SERVICE UPON SERVICE TO THE CITY CENTER
Melikgazi
Mayor Assoc. Dr., who took his place on the field to examine the works. Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated that they carry out beautification work in the city center almost every day, and in his statement, he included the following expressions:
“Since we see the city center as our guest room, we invest here every year as much as we can. We bought the 40-year-old, 5-story building between the old church, now the library, and the Emir Sultan Mosque, and demolished it to create a square. We built 2 social facilities. We renovated the Kazancılar Bazaar and it has become magnificent. We built Gön Han, which is the most important historical artifact discovery of the last 50-60 years, and we are opening it soon. We moved Dedeman Middle School and created a beautiful park in that area. We restored Nazmi Toker School and turned it into an Art Center. In other words, we are doing work in the city center every day. Now, starting from Kiçikapı in the city center, we are renovating the sidewalks in an area of approximately 2.5 kilometers, including our Bankalar Street. Here Since I took office, our citizens, especially our taxi drivers, have been complaining that the yellow paving stones are very slippery and breaking; We are completely renewing the 2.5-kilometer stretch. A good thing we are doing here is that we are carrying out all noise-related activities at night so as not to disturb our tradesmen and citizens. A team works from night until morning, and after morning, we continue laying the stones. There is a 24-hour, intensive work schedule. Hopefully, we will complete these sidewalks quickly before the weather gets bad. May God protect us from accidents and misfortunes. I say that the city center is the guest room, and we continue to work towards this. May it be auspicious and successful.”
