Municipality As a result of the work carried out by the Urban Transformation Directorate, the Zoning and Urban Planning Directorate, and the Planning and Project Directorate, the number of abandoned buildings demolished in Melikgazi in the past six years has reached 2,476.
Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, “We are continuing to beautify Melikgazi; we are demolishing five buildings opposite the old church in our Tacettinveli neighborhood. Thanks to the Tacettinveli neighborhood headman, he is supporting us in every way. We are removing the derelict and dilapidated building stock in the city center. I thank all my teammates. We have been conducting the legal process here for six years. Our city is becoming more beautiful every day. Since I took office in 2019, our teammates have identified and demolished a total of 2,476 derelict buildings, shantytowns, and derelict structures. We are demolishing at least one derelict building every day. Our neighborhood is becoming more beautiful, and God willing, it will become even more beautiful. We thank all our teammates.
