Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, the Mayor of Melikgazi Municipality, along with AK Party Melikgazi District Chairman Tayyar Şahin, met with the residents of Battalgazi Neighbourhood to discuss the projects completed in the district over the past 5 years and pledged to fulfil future promises.

Mayor Palancıoğlu expressed his happiness at being warmly welcomed by the citizens during neighbourhood visits, stating, 'Five years passed quickly, but they were filled with services. We experienced both a pandemic and an earthquake. Despite the challenges, the services of Melikgazi Municipality continued. Additionally, we consistently provided assistance to earthquake-affected areas. We have made sure to have a contribution or service in each of our 58 neighbourhoods. We have built 21 schools, 15 health centres, 15 social facilities, 15 libraries, and 270 new parks in our district. We are at your service. Now, the second phase, consisting of 20 blocks, is nearing completion. We will finish them all and build the social facility by the summer. Additionally, we are starting a new transformation in Çorakçılar Neighbourhood. We will tender the second phase of our work in Yıldırım Beyazıt Neighbourhood. Therefore, we are working day and night. We uphold our history and ancestors. There is a Battalgazi Mosque here, which includes the Battalgazi Tomb. I hope that in the new term, we have new projects and work planned for this area. There are, of course, things yet to be done. But in Melikgazi, there is a team working with good intentions. Mayor Palancıoğlu promised to the neighbourhood residents and youth to provide a library, a football field, and a neighbourhood bakery after listening to the requests from the citizens.
