Mayor of Melikgazi Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, Yıldırım Beyazıt Neighborhood by participating in the demolition work that started on Şükran Street, Melikgazi 600 pieces of abandoned structures and shanties throughout the said they demolished.

       On the one hand, while urban transformation works are underway in the neighbourhood, on the other hand, they have provided many services such as schools, parks and roads, said Mayor Dr. Palancıoğlu said, "It doesn't matter day and night, weekdays and weekends. We are always on the field for our Melikgazi; we are trying to serve you. We have started demolition works on Şükran Street in Yıldırım Beyazıt Neighborhood. I hope we are making this place beautiful. We will have demolished 30 slums on Şükran Street. Today we are demolishing 15 of them, after demolishing the remaining 15, Şükran Street will expand. One, which we started 5 months ago. In the Yıldırım Beyazıt urban transformation project, which consists of six blocks, some blocks have reached the completion stage. It is moving fast. We will meet the rightful owners with their new homes as soon as possible. Right next to the urban transformation, it continues in our school projects, including primary school and kindergarten. When these schools are finished, we will also meet the school needs of the region. Therefore, the environment around Yıldırım Beyazıt will get a much more beautiful. We also built and completed a beautiful Dr.Sami İpek Street connecting Sivas Street to Hulusi Akar Boulevard. I hope that we will complete these constructions without accident. In total, the number of slums we destroyed exceeded 600. With the disappearance of these abandoned buildings, a more peaceful and more reliable environment emerged. Best wishes." said.
