With the start of snowfall, Melikgazi Municipality, which continues snow clearing, salting and cleaning works uninterruptedly in the district, continues its intensive work with a large number of vehicles and personnel.

Taking precautions against possible bad scenarios to prevent citizens from being affected by adverse weather conditions, Melikgazi Municipality ensures safety by opening and cleaning the roads in the central and rural neighborhoods.

Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. participated in the snow clearing and salting works carried out in Eskişehir Bağları Osmanlı, Selçuklu and Danişmentgazi Neighborhoods. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, “Finally, the first snow of 2026 has fallen on the ground. Thank God. Snow means abundance, a decrease in diseases, an increase in water resources, and agriculture benefiting from it. Hopefully, we will have a safe and peaceful period. I congratulate you on the New Year. Our work continues in the field with our team members and village heads. With the onset of heavy snowfall, we continue to work 24 hours a day in 3 shifts with all our tools and equipment. We thank all our colleagues, village heads, and dedicated personnel. We ask our citizens not to set out on the road without winter tires and necessary preparations. We are also carrying out all kinds of salting activities against icing, and we have taken our precautions. May God grant us to reach many more years in unity and togetherness. May our snow and rain be a source of beauty.” He said.
