Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, reminding the public that they have launched "Cinema Days" to make hot summer evenings more enjoyable, announced the good news that Melikgazi Municipality Mehmet Altun Aviation and Space Technologies Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School has been placed under the auspices of the Presidency of Defense Industries.

Mayor Palancıoğlu, noting that the Melikgazi Days have attracted great interest this year, as they do every year, said, “We are delighted to bring together our Melikgazi residents with a variety of cultural and artistic events. We continue to organize events where our citizens can come with their families. As part of this, we screened the animated film 'Aslan Hürkuş, Our Mission Gökbey' during our cinema days. We will be holding many events this summer. We are a municipality that builds many schools. Our number of schools is approaching 25. Next to the National Garden, we built the Melikgazi Municipality Mehmet Altun Aviation and Space Technologies Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, which will be Turkey's most popular school. I want to be the first to share some good news with you. Our Presidency of Defense Industries has taken 13 high schools under its auspices in Turkey. Our school is one of them. This is a very important development. Hopefully, new history will be made again where TOMTAŞ manufactured aircraft 100 years ago. This will train and provide employment for the defense sector. Hopefully, the children who now watch cartoons here will be prepared for the future in the best possible way at this school. We are bringing many projects to you. Our open-air cinema days will continue in the future.”
