Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu hosted AK Party Deputy Chairman Mustafa Elitaş in his office and informed him about the completed and planned works in the district. Mayor Palancıoğlu, who listed the opening and groundbreaking ceremonies one after another, in addition to the works that contribute to the development and progress of the district, made the following statements in his statement:

“We are hosting our AK Party Deputy Chairman, Mr. Mustafa Elitaş, at Melikgazi Municipality. I thank him for his visit. We informed him about the work we have done in Melikgazi. In particular, we will cut the ribbon and open many of the projects we have completed in 2026. The first opening we will do after the holiday will be Çarşı Melikgazi. It is the first shopping center focused on food in Türkiye. It is a very nice service where we will promote all of Kayseri's local brands. This summer will be full of openings. Immediately after the opening of Çarşı Melikgazi, we will open Sanat Melikgazi and our Dedeman Park. This is the city It has become a very beautiful park that provides a breath of fresh air to the center. At the same time, right next to it, we are establishing workshops in ten different branches in Melikgazi, where we will provide training. At the same time, we have a project called Atölye Melikgazi where our female sisters will make handmade products, and we will contribute to them. The restoration of Gön Han, one of the most important restorations of recent times, has also been completed, and we have started furnishing it. At the entrance of the Grand Bazaar, we have also beautifully prepared a new cultural and social activity center that will provide a breath of fresh air to the Grand Bazaar. Another one is the Köşk Medrese, which is over seven hundred years old. Its restoration is finished, and we will open it this summer as a beautiful event space. We are currently the municipality that has built the most schools in Türkiye. We have reached 26 schools. After the holiday, we are opening two schools, Kazım Karabekir Primary and Secondary School, which we brought to life together with our benefactor. In less than a year, together with our benefactor Hamdi Özdemir We have completed its construction. We are opening a Story House and Toy Library. This is a beautiful project where we have our drama workshop, and toys can be borrowed for 15 days. We have new mosques, Quran Courses, and Brain Cube Libraries. After the holiday, we will open two Quran Courses and two mosques. We will open a Brain Cube Library in our Ottoman Neighborhood. Following the opening and groundbreaking ceremonies, Mayor Palancıoğlu, who continues to inform about exemplary projects, said, “I think Melikgazi is among the most in Türkiye.” We are one of the municipalities that invests the most. We are among the rare municipalities in Türkiye that have no debt. Not only do we have no debt, but our treasury is full. Our apartment and land sales, which we carry out with our interest-free, price-increase-free model, are in very high demand. On average, we sell apartments produced through urban transformation every two months. We removed the blocks right across from the old bus station. We are carrying out the 3rd urban transformation in Aydınlıkevler Neighborhood within a year. We are starting a new urban transformation in Köşk Neighborhood, which is located on the continuation of Hulusi Akar Boulevard. Therefore, the number of urban transformation areas we are carrying out in 8 regions will increase to 11. We have completed 8000 apartments. We are doing this with our own budget without using credit. This is one of our biggest achievements. The satisfaction of our citizens is quite high. We are about to complete a beautiful project in horizontal architecture across from the Asri Cemetery. We laid the foundation last year. It is an exemplary project. We will also do a similar one with two hundred garden houses in Mimarsinan. The project is completed. This "If all goes well, there will be developments regarding it in the summer. Sahabiye Neighborhood was also built in the early 60s. So, in a city with a history of 60-65 years, the need for urban transformation arises. Hopefully, with this urban transformation you will undertake, we will pay attention to architecture and solidity that will not require urban transformation for 50 or 100 years. I know your sensitivity on this issue very well. I think that the new buildings you will construct should serve people for a long time, not with urban transformation after 10 or 20 years. Melikgazi is one of the districts in Türkiye with the highest population increase in the last 30 years. While it was around 120,000 in 1994, today it has a population approaching 600,000. That's why it's our pride and joy. The investments made, the investments made by philanthropists, and being a growing and developing district, having the opportunity to generate new own revenue, and investing in the public with the own revenue you generate, in a reasonable, logical, controlled, and supervised way...
