Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu issued a message on the occasion of the 104th anniversary of the August 30 Victory Day. In his message, Mayor Palancıoğlu stated that the Turkish nation's refusal to submit to captivity and its love for independence were once again declared to the whole world with the August 30 Victory Day, and included the following statements: “We celebrate the 104th anniversary of the August 30 Victory Day with great pride and joy. I am proud to be a descendant of ancestors who fought with their lives and blood despite all impossibilities, carrying the love of their homeland in their hearts and running from victory to victory. This great victory won in the Battle of the Commander-in-Chief is one of the most important indicators of our nation's determination on the path to independence. Those who made these lands our homeland at the cost of their lives..." By upholding the legacy of our martyrs and veterans, we keep the same spirit alive under our crescent and star flag. Our duty is to carry this legacy into the future in the strongest way possible. In line with the goals of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, for a Turkish Century, we continue to work and produce for our country. On this meaningful day, I commemorate with mercy our dear martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our homeland, especially the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms, and I remember our heroic veterans with respect.
