Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu issued a message on the occasion of January 10th, Working Journalists' Day. In his message, President Palancıoğlu thanked the journalists who perform their profession with great dedication, and stated the following: “Journalism is an important profession that informs society through impartial and reliable information transfer and protects the right of citizens to receive information. Our journalists, who are of great importance in the development of society, also play an important role in the transmission of our cultural values.” Our journalists, who work day and night with great dedication to inform the public accurately and impartially, are indispensable for the formation of a conscious society. I extend my thanks to our journalists who ensure the flow of accurate and impartial news, bring to light the wishes and suggestions of the society, and keep their finger on the pulse of the agenda. I congratulate all our journalists, from local to national, who keep us informed about the agenda by performing their duties within the framework of the ethical rules of the journalism profession, on January 10th Working Journalists Day; and wish them a successful professional life. I commemorate our journalists who have passed away with mercy.”
