Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, the Mayor of Melikgazi Municipality, extended his congratulations on January 10, Journalists' Day, in his celebratory message. He congratulated all journalists who serve as the voice and conscience of our nation, engaging in truthful and principled journalism.

          Mayor Palancıoğlu emphasized the challenging and crucial role of the press members, stating:

"In enlightening the public, the press plays a significant role. The profession of journalism, which enables access to accurate and unbiased information in a short period, carries great responsibility in this regard. We have conveyed and explained our services to the public through the press. I sincerely thank all press members who have not hesitated to support us in this regard. Our country's development, as well as the progress of our city and district, is significantly contributed by our journalists. They are doing more than their share. I wish them to deliver good news with health in 2024. Both national press representatives and local press members tirelessly work to bring developing news in Melikgazi to the public through their media outlets, making efforts for citizens to be informed correctly and quickly. Press workers, who are tirelessly at their duty day and night, work without regard to time to fulfil this duty. On this occasion, I congratulate the Journalists' Day of the press members who work sacrificially day and night for the right of the public to be informed, and I wish them success and happiness in their professional lives. I also remember with mercy the press members who have passed away."
