Emphasizing the importance of young people who develop themselves for a strong Turkey, Mayor Palancıoğlu stated, 'We celebrate the 105th anniversary of May 19th, the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, with great enthusiasm and pride. The first step of the unparalleled victory achieved by the strong will of the Turkish nation began with Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's landing in Samsun on May 19th, 1919.' This historic day, which symbolizes the determination of our nation that declared its independence to the whole world because of the national struggle, became an important milestone in the establishment of the Republic of Turkey. As Melikgazi Municipality, we are aware of the value of our youth for the future of our country, and we always support them. A strong Turkey will grow, develop, and become more powerful thanks to our young people who produce, believe in themselves, and constantly improve.

With these feelings and thoughts, I remember with mercy, gratitude, and thanksgiving our martyrs, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who sacrificed their lives for independence. I sincerely congratulate our young people, the custodians of our future, on the May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
