Mayor of Melikgazi, Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu paid a visit to the Kartal Martyrs' Cemetery on the occasion of the 15 July Democracy and National Unity Day and commemorated the 15 July martyrs.

          President Palancioglu made the following statements in his statement at the Kartal Martyrdom:

“On the 5th anniversary of the July 15 treacherous coup attempt, I once again commemorate all our martyrs who gave their lives for our homeland, independence and democracy with respect and gratitude and I express my gratitude to our veterans. May the places of our martyrs rest in heaven, Allah may be pleased with all our veterans. On July 15, we lost many martyrs. 252 of our brothers died, thousands of our brothers unfortunately became veterans. 5 years ago, at an unexpected moment, the traitors among us took the lives of many of our brothers. They martyred them. Hopefully we will never be in such a bad situation again. I hope our country will not be exposed to coup attempts again and our country will stand forever. We will not let July 15th be forgotten, we will not forget it and we will convey this situation to the next generations in the best way possible. May Allah give patience to all the families of martyrs. On this occasion, we commemorate July 15 again.”
