KAYSERI'S NEW ACCESSORY, ÇARŞI MELİKGAZİ, RECEIVED FULL SCORE FROM THE KAYSERI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
16 November 2025

Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, counting the days until the opening of the Melikgazi Bazaar, hosted Kayseri Chamber of Commerce President Ömer Gülsoy, the board of directors, and members of the assembly. He provided information about the Bazaar, which will bring a fresh perspective to Kayseri's bazaar culture and a new understanding of commerce.

Mayor Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated that Melikgazi serves the district with visionary projects and has implemented many different projects. He said, “As the Melikgazi Municipality, we have many projects underway. One of our most distinctive projects is the Bazaar. Melikgazi has become. We've reached the final stages. We've reached agreements with the companies; we'll begin signing contracts next week. This project, which we can call a food mall, covers an area of 7,000 square meters and includes approximately 70 businesses of various sizes within a 5,500-square-meter enclosed area. It features numerous amenities, including a parking garage for over 150 vehicles, an electric vehicle charging station, venues for various events, a retractable roof system, and solar power plants. This is Kayseri's newest addition. It's a location where visitors to Kayseri will visit and shop. We particularly want to promote Kayseri's brands and products here. Local products from many brands, primarily from Kayseri and Turkey, along with other products, will be available for sale. There will also be fruit and vegetable vendors. In addition, there will be two facilities we will operate. One is a restaurant called Sofra Melikgazi. We will represent Kayseri's regional cuisine here. We will offer local dishes like yağ mantısı, yağlama, küldür aşı (a type of meatballs), and arababaşı (a type of meatballs). We also have a 600-square-meter venue called "Kafe Melikgazi." The upper floor of the Melikgazi Market will also include a food and beverage section. We have partnered with several companies for this purpose. It will operate seven days a week, opening in the morning and closing in the evening, much like a shopping mall. Fruit and vegetable products will be sold here in particular. We will also, hopefully, sell specialty items like kaymak (clotted cream) from Kayseri Hörmetçi, pepper from Cırgalan, and sheep yogurt from Akkışla. We also want to buy and sell products that appeal to Kayseri, especially those from women's cooperatives. This is a market we can call the Kayseri Market. I would like to thank our KTO President, Mr. Ömer Gülsoy, and the esteemed board for visiting our market. he said.

“We are proud of our city…”

Kayseri Chamber of Commerce President Ömer Gülsoy, who visited and inspected the market with the Assembly and all board members, also gave a speech: "Mustafa Palancıoğlu, another visionary project. Today, we examined the Melikgazi Bazaar. Just like the Akşi Cube Library they previously built in Kayseri, we are involved in a project that will breathe new life into the city, just like the Aviation and Space Sciences High School. The Bazaar will bring a new shopping and a new understanding of commerce to the city. The Melikgazi Bazaar is a wonderful project. Kudos to you. Our esteemed mayor is working with the concern of how to better serve the people of the city and how to address their concerns. This is reflected in his projects. I thank our mayor very much. We are proud of our city," he said.
