Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated that Ulu Çınarlar Living Centres, which they have established in the Melikgazi district, are warmly embraced by the elderly and receive considerable attention.

Mayor Palancıoğlu, stating that the elderly who feel bored at home and want to spend time with friends come together at Ulu Çınarlar Living Centres established in the district, said, "Facilitating life and ensuring a happy life for our elderly, who prepare us for today and the future, are among our responsibilities. We implement projects for every segment of our district. As a municipality, we prioritize neighbourhood culture and build boutique facilities."
